Hindsight: Dralion @ 1st Bank Center

Beginning in the early eighties, Cirque du Soleil reinvented the circus by banning animals and doing away with rings. Fast forward three decades. Certain Cirque shows have been circumnavigating the globe for ten or twenty years now. Dralion, touring through Colorado this month in its new arena format, is among them. Think of it as retro Cirque, though all shows go through occasional upgrades, especially when theyre refitted for bigger venues. Spandex is the most common costume fabric, but the acts still wow after all this time.

Vintage Deco Wedding Invitation

As soon as I met with Sarah I knew we were going to have an amazing time working together. Not only is she a super fun person, her wedding style was right up my alley! Vintage 1920s, minus the flapper. Sarah said she didnt want her guests to think they had to show up wearing derby hats, which I loved. In essence, capture the era, minus the fashion. Sarahs colors were cream, dark eggplant and shades of grey with hints of silver

Blogger Diary: Scrubbing Away Winter Blues

Well it’s definitely Winter. While I seem to hold up to the cold better than others (growing up in Syracuse, NY will teach anyone) my skin has been feeling the effects. The fact that I also live in a different part of the city than many of my close friends, has meant that I’ve spent many a night crashing on couches, and not giving my body the care it deserves. The cold of winter can also gets a bit depressing for me. It’s tough to get out and about, having to pile on clothes just to do so. Not to mention the limited hours of sun. One of the most common email questions I get from parents is if they should buy designer labels for their kids. Many kids beg their parents for specific designer labels.
