Denim Shorts and Over The Knee Tights combination … Sensationally Stylish or Fashion Faux Pas?

Teenage actress Emma Roberts stepped out in a pair of leopard print platforms, over the knee black socks and denim hot pants, question is, does she look hot? She has pins that would easily rival Elle Macpherson’s, so this always helps in a bid to look stylish but in the real world would 5’ 3” me look equally as cool?
The Tights Please office is split; I’m sat on the fence. Originating relatively close to Liverpool, to me, over the knee socks is an accessory always associated with incredibly stylish scousers (looking at the pics from Aintree I understand this sentence may be incredibly hard to believe …) but on the other end of the spectrum, has it been over done?
