Fashion owes a lot to the Native Americans they gave us one of this seasons hottest trends in the Navajo print and, of course, the classic poncho. To some theyre a ludicrous design concept that should have stayed on the great plains and away from the catwalks; to the rest of us theyre an essential addition to anyones festival wardrobe. While todays ponchos are smaller and more delicate , this one goes back to basics, weighing almost as much as a small buffalo and designed to cover every inch of you.

McDonalds Uniforms As Reinterpreted By The Fall Runway Shows
Fast food uniforms arent known for being the most fashion-forward, but who says that has to be the case?
In Britain, McDonalds employees will be getting new unis made by Hemingway Design. The purpose of this redesign isnt necessarily to up to the style factor, but to create outfits that can be upcycled. This green pilot program could mean that uniform changes will come to the States soon. Exciting!

Garnier teams up with TerraCycle to reduce landfill waste
By now, many of us recycle when we can and have separate bins in nearly every room of the house or office. Making it easier for us, Garnier has teamed up with TerraCycle, a company specializing in producing consumer products from post-consumer materials to encourage recycling of personal care and beauty products, which still accounts for one-third of all landfill waste worldwide.
Garnier will also be sponsoring a Personal Care and Beauty Brigade, where individuals and organizations can sign up on garnier.ca (look for the “Go Green With Garnier” link) to participate in collecting packaging of personal care and beauty products, regardless of the brand, and the mega-beauty company will have it collected and shipped to a TerraCycle facility outside of Toronto free of charge, all to help reduce what ends up in our landfills.
